Have you ever been passionate about something? There are all different ways of being passionate. There are passions in our emotions, and passions in our spirit. We can be passionate about art and music. Maybe passionate for a career or for our studies. Some are passionate about helping others. The one thing we should all be passionate about is the thing God has placed in our hearts!
Passion is described as an extreme, compelling emotion. An intense emotional drive or excitement. Also an enthusiasm or fondness, a love or affection.
While it is true that passion comes through our emotions, the source of that passion should be within our spirit. The word enthusiasm comes from two Greek words; En Theos which is translated; In God. It is God in our spirit, lighting our fire, setting our passions. We can follow Him to the fulfillment of those passions in our life.
We will always be limited in fulfilling our passions unless we make some concrete decisions. For passion to come to pass, we must stay full of our passions. In life there are many passion thieves, distractions that want to pull us off course, cause us to miss taking hold of our passions, and bring nothing but frustrations into our lives. Instead of living a life headed towards fulfilling this passion, we will live a life of discouragement and disillusionment.
Just like our computers, our lives can become cluttered, scattered, bogged down, and moving slower than we were designed to. We can clean up our computers, do regular maintenance on them, and get them back into original design shape to function as they ought to. This takes the limits off.
So we do the same with our life. There may be things in your life blocking your way to your passion. Maybe there is an attitude that you haven’t been willing to let go of. What will you be willing to leave behind in order to follow your passion? What thing do you need to hit the delete button on? These things are keeping us tied up, and limited in what we can do.
Sometimes our own security and comfort keep us from pressing into our passion. Going forward seems to present too many unknowns. There may be some relationships that need to change, or some busyness that must be settled down.
Just as there is a ‘remove program’ in your computer, there is a ‘remove activity’ for your life. Is it time to hit the delete key on some areas in your life? It is time to take the limits off. It is time to remove the sluggishness. It is time to clear out the clutter. It is time to reawaken passion and press on without limitations.
YOU CAN DO IT!! GOD IS THERE TO MAKE YOU ABLE, SUPPLY YOUR NEEDS, AND FULFILL HIS PASSION WITHIN YOU! Take the limits off and be free to succeed in all you set your hand to.
